The Internet makes it ever more possible to make a living from what you love: as a content marketer, side-hustler, entrepreneur or in using your personal brand to land your dream job. This session dug into participants passions and purpose, then we looked at various ways to do what you love and get paid for it.
How to Be More Creative in Work + Life. March 23rd 2018.
Many of us want the benefits of increased creativity, but don’t consider ourselves to be creative people, or don't know how to go about adapting our creativity in one part of life or work, to another domain.
At this event, we describe how creativity is a process and a mindset that everyone can learn and apply to get more from life and work.
Creativity will be a must-have skill in all jobs and sectors by 2020 (LINK). Also our expectations from life, to have a varied and full existence, demand that we are able to reinvent ourselves, wear different hats, and live different lives across a single life-span.
Over coffee and light breakfast, we’ll have an interactive discussion based on the lessons from three key books on creativity:
1. The Business Romantic by Tim Leberecht (TED)
2. Creative Confidence by Tom & David Kelley (TED)
3. Creative Intelligence by Bruce Nussbaum (VIDEO)We'll provide attendees with some simple frameworks to assess their own creativity, and make a personal plan for how to be more creative in work and life.
Presented by Brett Cowell, creative consultant and coach, with special guest artist, entrepreneur and professional skater, Jennifer Wester (see video below). Free. GoodWork 1808 South Good Latimer Expressway, Dallas 75226.
Friday March 23. 8:00 - 10:00am. Coffee and light breakfast provided. RSVP Essential. Places limited.

Walk and See #2
Seeing is a building block of creativity, curiosity and possibility. Yet as adults we forget how to see, and to engage and be present in the environment around us. In this group walk, a professional photographer will teach you how to take better photos with your smartphone, while you explore a part of Dallas from a new perspective. Free. Location: Deep Ellum. Tag your photos with #walksee and #walksee2 on Twitter and Instagram.
Walk and See #1
